How Much Can I Carry?
You can carry one personal item and one additional carry-on sized bag
or a total of two personal items per passenger. |

Carry-On Size Baggage (Planeside Loaded)
You are limited to one carry-on size bag; however it must be surrendered planeside, loaded into the cargo compartment and will be returned to you as you deplane. The carry-on size bag cannot have a maximum linear measurement exceeding 51 linear inches. Carry-on size bags that exceed 51 linear inches will be checked to the destination carousel.
Personal Items
For travel on Trans States Airlines, you are allowed to carry on up to two personal items that do not exceed 45 linear inches. Passengers must be able to safely secure each piece in the overhead bin, under the seat stowage area, or in an approved location. Personal items include:
- Purse (pocketbook or purse)
- Briefcase
- Laptop computer and case
- Camera and case
- Small tote bag
- Shoulder bag
- Small backpack
- Book bag
- Other personal items of similar size
Musical Instruments

Small musical instruments may be carried onboard the aircraft providing they meet the personal items size requirements and fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you. Case dimensions may not exceed 45 linear inches, except for musical instruments which may be brought on board only if they can be safely stowed in an overhead bin or approved stowage location in the cabin.

Exemptions
Trans States Airlines will accept in addition to the personal items and planeside limits:
- FAA approved child restraint device, diaper bag, and stroller
- Assistive devices (canes, crutches, portable oxygen concentrators (POC) etc.)
- Outer garments (coats, hats, umbrellas, etc.)
- Passenger assist / comfort animal and devices
Keep in Mind
- Additional limitations may be placed on personal items because of aircraft stowage limitations.
- Limits may be imposed after the boarding process has begun.
- Bags will be required to travel as checked baggage if they exceed 51 linear inches.
