Flight
Operations Safety Bulletin
Date
August 29, 2001
During
a recent flight attendant observation ride on a J41, it was noticed that
the flight attendant's overnight bag was standing up behind seat 10 right.
When this was brought to the flight attendants attention, she stowed the
bag under seat 10 right.
The
seats in our aircraft are equipped with a restraining bar to restrain
underseat bags during turbulence or incident. By placing the bag behind
the seat instead of under the seat this protection is lost and the bag
could end up in the aisle at the least desirable time.
For
safety's sake, please make sure that crew bags are stowed properly.
