Meet Rick Leach, the Trans States Airlines President and CEO. Rick took a few minutes out of his day to tell us a few little- known facts about himself.
Q: What was your first aviation job?
A: My first aviation job was working in the operations office at Air Illinois.
Q: What was your first non-rev?
A: My first non-revenue trip was from St. Louis to Columbia, MO in a Twin Otter.
Q: What is your favorite joke?
A: Considering the fact that I learned most of my jokes from my father who was a truck driver for 40 years, my favorite joke would not be appropriate to share.
Q: St. Louis style pizza or toasted ravioli?
A: Definitely St. Louis style pizza.
Q: What is your favorite time of day?
A: My favorite time of day is around 5 a.m. …before my head has a chance to start filling up.
Q: Who is your favorite Cardinals player?
A: Willie McGee…not a superstar, but a really nice guy!
Q: What is your favorite restaurant?
A: My favorite restaurant is Morton’s, the Steakhouse if I want something really nice; AAA Burger for casual.
Q: What is your favorite vacation spot?
A: VACATION???? Wherever I am when I get one.
Q: What is your favorite color?
A: Blue.
Q: Chocolate or vanilla?
A: Chocolate!
